Alligator Season in Louisiana is
regulated by the State of Louisiana,
Department of Wildlife and
Fisheries. The state opens Alligator
Season to licensed alligator
hunters for one month only, in
September of each year. The
season normally opens around
Labor Day. We book our sport
hunting trips for opening day and
during the first week of the season.
The alligators taken by our sport
hunters typically range in size from 6
feet in length on up. This season we
took a 13 footer, several 11 and 12
footers and some 10 footers.
We provide all equipment needed by our
sport hunters to bait, trap, fish and hunt
alligators Louisiana style!
All alligator sport hunters are
required to have a Sport Hunter
License issued by the Louisiana
Department of Wildlife and
Fisheries. The license, purchased
through the Wildlife and Fisheries, is
in addition to the price of our hunts.
